Essentially a curved drawknife, the scorp, or inshave, was originally a cooper’s tool. They are now primarily used for hollowing out chair seats.
Made from 01 high carbon tool steel, oil hardened, and tempered to approximately 60 RC. The cigar shaped handles are made from air dried beech, treated with linseed oil and finished with brass ferrules.
This tool is perfect for those looking to start making more complex pieces, hollowing and shaping stool tops and chair seats with ease. A fantastic addition to anyones collection.
