Description
We have these on backorder from ‘theoldtoolstore.co.uk’ if you would like to purchase one to collect on your course please contact us before completing the purchase.
Alternatively, visit Ray’s own store at theoldtoolstore.co.uk and order directly from the man himself.
Traditionally used for making spindles for Windsor chairs. Made by Ray Iles from beech and treated with raw linseed oil, with 01 carbon steel blade. We recommend the addition of further coats of linseed oil to enhance the appearance and durability of the wood.
Available in six sizes: ½”, 9/16”, 5/8”, ¾”, 7/8” and 1” (ideal for walking stick makers).
Perfect for those looking to get seriously into ‘making’ I use these for round tenons and favour the 5/8″ for stretchers and 1″ for legs and other more substantial joints.
